Dec. 29th, 2009 @ 10:48 pm I have seen it in stories...
So I was told by [info]peacewish that there were Half Price Books that had manga. About a year ago, I hunted down one in the montrose/Westheimer area and found about five volumes of scattered series.

I was sad.

Then today, upon a quest to find more of the percy jackson books, amy and I went to the largish one down 1960 and lo and behold! there was an entire SECTION.

And they had Bastard!! volume one! Which I really didn't want to have to rebuy at full price on amazon. So now I'm only missing vol. 4 19 and 20 (which i think just came out).

They also had the entire series of rea/fake princess, a lovely manwha, but since the Walden's in Northwest Mall is closing down I should waste my money on new Hellsing rather than a series I've only read twice.

Sides, if its still there in a month or so I can buy it then.

^_^

And I sorted the Dragonball Z in native Japanese into numerical order. GO knowing numerical kanji!

Now I have another store to pop into periodicaly. Too bad its like nowhere near anywhere I normally go.

so! christmas.

that went well.

Not a half bad time...

Of course, as usual, I had way more fun at the Langley Christmas than I did with my own family. And, of course, the Langley's feel more like family than my own.

But that's cause they rock.

So we saw Sherlock Holmes last night.

It rocked. So. Hard.

I must see it again.

I also finally got a chance to watch the SyFy mini-series for Alice. And I am SO IN LOVE with Hatter! He was the best character, and Andrew Lee Potts was the best actor in the whole damn thing.

But my DVR hates me, and cut off the last like... three minutes. So now I have to steal it from Nora... since it doesn't come out on DVD until March. ;_; So sad!

So yeah.

It's been fun.

If you had to give up either chocolate or your mobile phone forever, which would you sacrifice?

and I'm not entirely sure where my phone is.

Let me think.

So, last night we had our annual Yule Shindig.

It was interesting.

There was drinking.

And merriment.

And a joy ride in a fast car.

And I was snogged.

Very unexpectedly.

It was pretty nice.

<.<;

And hilarious.

Hooray Yule Shindig!
